Overlord are an Oxford-based five-piece that bang out finely-crafted, deftly-played hunks of hard guitar music that sees them fit into a lineage that stems from Led Zeppelin. As they put it, “Overlord play a fresh, modern take on the dark, progressive rock/early metal bands of the 1970s, informed as much by modern thrash/groove metal as they are by traditional blues. Through these myriad influences, the band intends to create music that can be enjoyed and appreciated by any fan of heavy music.”
