Event Navigation
Dance to MoltenAmba – top musicians from the worlds of jazz, blues, pop and folk. All the dances are explained, so that you can relax and enjoy a fantastic atmosphere.
MoltenAmba plays English folk with world rhythms and jazz sensibilities. This band brings together some of the best English talents in folk, world, blues and jazz in one delectable dance band. They are Richard Jones – accordion (Climax Ceilidh Band, Angles), Chris Walshaw – pipes and whistles (also Climax Ceilidh Band, Angles), Bruce Knapp – guitar (too many bands to mention but including the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain), Dudley Phillip – double bass (has performed with June Tabor, Andy Shepherd and Womack and Womack) and Martyn Barker – drums and percussion (has recorded and performed with Marianne Faithful, Billy Bragg and Ray Davies).
This evening is a Euro-ceilidh, so the dances will include many English ceilidh favourites as well some French and other European dances. Quite the best caller for the evening is Jo Freya, caller (and saxophonist) with Blowzabella and Token Women. Our interval entertainment is provided by Hereburgh Morris, a wonderful and innovative side from Harbury in Warwickshire.
