Described as “one of the most gifted pianists and imaginative composers on the British scene”, Gwilym Simcock moves effortlessly between jazz and classical. At the last night of the Proms 2013, he accompanied Nigel Kennedy. He now performs with Russian bass player Yuri Goloubev, with tracks from their new album Reverie at Schloss Elmau following on from Simcock’s solo album Good Days at Schloss Elmau, which was nominated for the 2011 Mercury Music Prize. To include: ‘Shades of Pleasure’, ‘Pastoral’, ‘Lost Romance’, ‘Non-Schumann Lied’, ‘Antics’, ‘Flow’ and ‘Vain Song’.
