Aahhhhhhh fantastic. It’s always good when the new issue of Nightshift comes out, in its print and online forms. And BAM! Here it is, and it’s packed to the rafters with great stuff.
This month’s cover feature is a big multi-page preview of the Oxford Punt 2014 (aka the way to see all of the best Oxford music live in a single night). There’s a lot of news from the local music scene, and reviews of new releases from Candy Says, My Crooked Teeth and Listing Ships. There are lots of gigs in the comprehensive gig guide, and you can read about what’s already happened with live reviews including Metronomy, Katy B and lots more. There’s an introduction to Huck & The Xander Band, an opportunity to win Cornbury Festival tickets, a look back at what was going on in Oxford music five, ten and twenty years ago, and the usual two-page Demo reviews section. Demo of the month is from Paul Emery, in the Demo Dumper is Thomas James.
