Oxfordshire radio stations 106 JACKfm and JACK 2 have teamed up with Cornbury Music Festival on a competition to win warm-up slots at this year’s festival.

Six local acts will be chosen to take part in a special ‘Campfire session’ on Thursday 3 July, as campers arrive and things start getting going at the festival, which runs until 6 July at Great Tew Estate, near Chipping Norton. As well as that, they promise that the ‘hottest act’ will get to play on stage at the festival next year.

To unceremoniously cut and paste their words: “If you think your band has what it takes to warm-up the Festival crowd for this year’s star performers including Jools Holland, Simple Minds, Sophie Ellis Bextor and The Feeling, you have until midnight on Sunday 15 June to enter!”

Interested? If so, all you need to do is fill in a form at www.jackfmoxfordshire.co.uk/cornbury-campfire-sessions. The six finalists will be announced on 23 June, and each member of the finalist acts will also get two weekend camping tickets for the festival.
