Truck Festival (Friday 18 July and Saturday 19 July @ Hill Farm, Steventon): More festivally fun at this key date in Oxford’s musical calendar – Truck Festival is always a good thing, and this year looks no different with a line-up that includes White Lies, The Cribs and Blood Red Shoes, as well as, er, truckloads of local music from the likes of Pixel Fix, Family Machine, The Goggenheim and millions more. Truck on, Truckers!

Wittstock Music Festival (Saturday 19 July and Sunday 20 July @ The Plough, Long Wittenham): Not Truckin’? Maybe you could be Wittstockin’ instead. This weekend-long celebration of Oxfordshire music in the countrified surrounds of Long Wittenham features Bethany Weimers, Peerless Pirates, Fracture, The Mighty Redox and many more besides.

Riverside Festival (Saturday 26 July and Sunday 27 July @ The Mill Field, Charlbury): More weekend festival action with the free, fun, fantastic Riverside – lots of decent music in a friendly and relaxed environment. Their stages this year will be graced by The Epstein, Candy Says, Vienna Ditto, Kid Kin and lots more, representing a pretty fine snapshot of local music.

D Fest 5 (Saturday 26 July @ The Red Lion, Drayton): Even more festivalling at The Red Lion in countryside-surrounded Drayton: D Fest, a free event that’s been running for five years now, presents a day of good music from Oxford and beyond across two stages. Playing this year are dB Band (featuring Mick Quinn of Supergrass), Empty Vessels, Balloon Ascents, Orange Vision and more.
