Event Navigation
One of two Stornoway shows at the Sheldonian. The other is on 13 November.
In 2009, shortly after appearing as the first unsigned band to ever play Later… with Jools Holland alongside Jay-Z and the Foo Fighters, Stornoway became the first and last electric pop band to play Oxford’s Christopher Wren-designed Sheldonian Theatre. Until now. To mark the five year anniversary of this legendary show, Stornoway will return to the Sheldonian Theatre with the Oxford Millennium Orchestra.
The band will play songs from their first two full length albums Beachcomber’s Windowsill and Tales From Terra Firma, and last year’s mini-album, You Don’t Know Anything. They will also be playing songs from their forthcoming third album, produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Echo & the Bunnymen, Foo Fighters) and due for release in Spring 2015.
