Special Audioscope show, and more, for 15 January

After the success of last November’s three Audioscope events – which raised £2,000 for Shelter and presented a variety of fine artists including Wire, Dieter Moebius, Billy Mahonie, Einstellung, SJ Esau and Sennen – Audioscope have lined up a special electronica night at Oxford’s Cellar on Saturday 15 January.

The event, which again will raise money for Shelter, features a double headline bill including Andrea Parker (who’s released records on Mo’Wax, Sabrettes, R&S, as well as remixing Depeche Mode and Steve Reich) and Shitmat (the breakcore legend who’s released records on Planet Mu, and who was championed by John Peel ‘back in the day’). They’ll be supported by P45 – the techno/industrial DJ who also runs the Room 237 leftfield events company – as well as Oxford’s multicoloured rave nutters extraordinaire Coloureds.

The event runs from 9.00 pm to 3.00 am at The Cellar, and tickets are just £8 and available here. Hell, why not make it a big day and coordinate getting to the Audioscope event as well as spending time at Equitruck and the first Psychotechnic League event?
