Duotone - Ropes

MusicInOxford.co.uk podcast interview: Barney Morse-Brown, Duotone

In advance of the release of their new album, Ropes, Duotone’s main man Barney Morse-Brown spent time with Mark Wilden to talk about the band, the music, and the new work. Barney Morse-Brown is also a session cellist for artists including The Imagined Village, Eliza Carthy and Chris Wood’s Handmade Life. Ropes will be released at a launch show at Oxford’s The North Wall on 15 October: copies will be available there and then more widely shortly afterwards. Find out more at the Duotone website.

I really like these more in-depth interviews, most music interviews at any level are just fatuous and far too short, so well done.  I also like the way that Mark hasn’t hidden his own opinions and agendas, it makes it sound like a real discussion, rather than a promo obligation.  I’d be interested in some MIO round table type podcasts.

    But I bloody would.
