Ben Stiller watching Fixers (maybe)

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Fixers at the Ashmolean

The third in the occasional series of live music events held at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, ‘Ashmolean Late Nights’, will take place on the once-in-a-lifetime date of 11 November – aka 11/11/11.

As with previous events, the Ashmo (as I’m sure cool people refer to it as) have teamed up with Notting Hill Arts Club, to bring a combination of bands and DJs to the Ashmolean Vaults. It’s gonna be kind of a doozy, with the relentlessly popular Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs headlining, presenting what’s described as ‘turbo-bass powered electro-jungle-house music’. Lumme. They’ll be supported by Oxford’s widescreen warriors of epic Beach Boys-tinged psych rock Fixers, and there will also be a set from Black Cab Sessions‘ DJ Mim.

Tickets are £12 in advance and available here. It’ll be pretty much exactly like that film, Night At The Museum. Perhaps.
