A series of monthly events starts in January at Modern Art Oxford. The Basement Sessions are run by Martin Andrews, who since relocating to Oxford from London a couple of years ago has decided to begin promoting experimental, electronic and live music in interesting venues. Andrews plans to run these monthly shows whilst also investigating the potential for further one-off events and making plans for some kind of film/art/music extravaganza during summer 2012.

Details for the first few Basement Sessions are still being confirmed, but Friday 27 January has been lined up with Listing Ships and Manacles Of Acid supporting London-based neon party band Maria And The Mirrors. Also confirmed so far are Robots With Souls, for Friday 17 February, and non-Oxfordians Fiction and Blue On Blue for Saturday 10 March.
