It’s nearly June, already! Cor, lumme, and strike a light. A good time, then, for the June 2012 edition of Nightshift, which is now available both online and at venues, shops and pubs throughout Oxfordshire.
This month’s cover feature is an interview with hairy Supergrass legend Gaz Coombes, and there is also a lot of news from the local music scene, as well as reviews of new releases from Undersmile, Jess Goyder, Reign Uponus, Kill Murray, Bethany Weimers, Sonic Rising, The Old Grinding Young, The Yarns and Lewis Watson. There’s a comprehensive gig guide, live reviews covering this year’s Punt festival, The Oxford Folk Weekend and many more, an introduction to Mother Corona, and a look back at what was going on in Oxford music five, ten and twenty years ago, and the usual two-page Demo reviews section. There’s also the chance to win tickets to the Truck and Wilderness festivals!
