Empty Room Promotions, who, as they put it, “put on the occasional Americana music type shows in Oxford” have organised an Americana weekend which will take place in the form of three warm and welcoming evening gigs at The Bullingdon in Oxford from 13 to 15 July.

On Friday 13 July, The Eve Selis Band will swing by, with a six-piece band, following several previous popular performances for Empty Room Promotions. Saturday 14 July will see Alejandro Esovedo & The Sensitive Boys take the stage – this Austin, Texas-based band’s frontman has previously supported and played alongside Bruce Springsteen. On Sunday 15 July, Los Angeles’ Dawes pop up, with music from their album Nothing Is Wrong which is, according to The Independent On Sunday, “as close to a perfect Americana album as there’s been all year”.
