Music For A Good Home 2, the 40-track download-only compilation released on 1 October by Audioscope, has sold quickly in its first week, with sales worth more than £500. The collection contains around three hours’ worth of almost completely exclusive and unreleased music from artists ranging from Beak> to Wire to The Telescopes to Four Tet to Ride, with lots in between. It’s being sold for a minimum donation of £5, and Audioscope report that many buyers are paying more than this in order to support Shelter, to whom the money will be donated.
The Oxford music side of things is strongly represented on Music For A Good Home 2, with exclusive contributions from Listing Ships, Richard Walters, Deco Child, Ride, Coloureds, The Workhouse, Gunning For Tamar, Tha Half Rabbits, Flights Of Helios, Phil McMinn, Kill Murray, The Rock Of Travolta, The Cellar Family, Message To Bears and ute.
The compilation can be streamed and downloaded at the Music For A Good Home 2 Bandcamp page. It’s well worth it, a bargain price for so much music, and it’s all for a very deserving cause.
