As Dave Griffiths, frontman of the long-ago-disbanded Witches recently put it on the Nightshift forum, “Witches are dead. But here’s our second album Final Word“.

Despite the members of Witches keeping themselves nice and busy, thank you, since the band split – Griffiths with his Grey Children solo project, David Balch popping up in Listing Ships and Jo Edge in Space Heroes Of The People, for example – this previously-unreleased album has been resurrected by way of a Grey Children mixing and mastering job, and is now being made available to stream and download for free.

Back in 2007, we proclaimed that their debut album Heart Of Stone was “without a doubt, the finest record to come out of Oxford this year”. See what you make of their Final Word…
