Pet Moon - Hold The Divide artwork

Limited-edition Pet Moon release out Monday and hear a new track here

It’d be trite to say that Pet Moon have ‘teamed up’ with Oxford-based screenprinting ideas factory Double Suns – as one of the Suns is of course Pet Moon frontman Andrew Mears – but whatever. There’s a new Pet Moon release due out on 10 December as the latest in Double Suns’ ongoing ‘Collaborations’ series which has previously seen creative team-ups with Jonquil and Fixers.

The release, ‘Runner Heart’, has at its core a three-track cassette single and single-track download, comprising the songs ‘Runner Heart’, ‘Xanthe’, ‘Omen Pot’ and ‘More Drugs More Electricity’. The package includes a lot more, though, as it will take the form of a hand-assembled screenprinted wooden case that’ll also include a poster, t-shirt and even a medicine vial housing a pill capsule inside which can be found a download code.

Pre-orders are being taken now; the package costs £22 and is available from the Double Suns webstore. The release is limited to 150 copies, 50 of which will only be available at Pet Moon gigs after the release date.

All of this precedes a more formal EP release that’s due in early 2013. Prepare your ears for that with ‘Hold The Divide’, a brand new track that’s been put out there for free download and streaming:
