International Jetsetters were described by Nightshift a little while ago as follows: “They’re an amalgamation of everything that was great about indie rock, when that term actually meant something. From the narcotic fuzz of Spacemen 3 to the insistent jangle and drone of The Wedding Present, and lifted spaceward by singer Fi McFall’s ethereal vocals, they’re dark and dreamy but they rock like bastards.”
That’s nice, isn’t it? Good news, then, that the band have just released a new EP which is available online for free. California includes four tracks, mixed by Mark Gardener, and the title track is dedicated to Rich Haines, the sorely-missed knob-twiddler who produced and engineering a vast wealth of Oxford music in his Dungeon Studios.
The band includes Gardener’s Ride bandmate from days of yore, Loz Colbert, on drums, along with Fi McFall, Mark Crozer, Paul Crozer and Bert Audubert. California is available through BandCamp, which means that it can be embedded for your listening pleasure right here:
