The chunky-riffed stoner-rockers (or, as they call themselves, “heavy blues metal” band) Desert Storm – who supported their noisy soulmates Karma To Burn on a recent UK tour – will soon follow up their Forked Tongues album with a new one, to be called Horizontal Life.

There are some ways that you could prepare yourself for the new album:

• Embark on some kind of heavy, mind-altering whisky’n’dope experience, probably in New Mexico
• Find the nearest group of more than twenty people and hurl yourself in to create a moshpit (though this may cause problems in, for example, a small town centre)
• Listen to a track from the album which the band have just put released as a taster.
