All Things Considered: Led by vocalist Emma Baldwin – whose haunting tones have been likened to Natalie Merchant – the band comprise driving fiddle player Gethin Webster, intricate acoustic guitarist Adrian Holden, soaring cello from Andrew Richardson and the groove based, almost tribal percussion of Phil Daniels. Their bold sound and wide musical influences make them both a distinctive, yet very accessible act – with their music reaching a diverse audience. Having formed from the ashes of a number of acts in late 2007, the last few years have seen the band record and self promote two studio albums, tour all over the country and have their music played on BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music, multiple regional folk and acoustic shows and radio shows and podcasts in the USA.
Julia Meijer: Julia Meijer moved from Stockholm, Sweden to England two years ago to explore Oxford’s exciting music scene. Her style has been described as ethereal and atmospheric with experimental melodies.
Ben Gosling: One third of popular Oxford/Reading folk trio Little Red, Ben is a multi-instrumentalist who aims to bring something new to the singer-songwriter mould. Armed with his trusty archtop guitar, Ben takes influence from storytelling troubadours such as Billy Bragg, Vic Ruggiero and AA Bondy.
