Having seen their stunningly beautiful performance to a late-evening audience at Womad Festival, the organisers were extremely excited when the opportunity arose to present Anda Union here in Oxford. Through their collection and re-interpretation of the endangered music of their homeland this group aim to preserve their ancient culture and give it fresh, modern life.

Massed traditional string instruments and percussion combine to present a living testament to the spiritual depth of Mongolian music. Anda Union tap straight into the deep heritage of the region’s music and culture with immense life and vigour creating a ‘ruggedly impressionistic’ music which has been resonating with audiences wherever they’ve played.
