A pupil of some of the great Italian teachers of the C20 and a champion of lesser-known works, Victor Sangiorgio is praised for his “poetic playing” and “delicate but crystalline tone colours”. The programme includes Cimarosa sonatas, Beethoven’s Appassionata and pieces by Liszt, Cage and Gershwin.
