- Beethoven: Violin Sonata in A major, Op. 47, ‘Kreutzer’
- Matthew Taylor: Tarantella Furiosa (world premiere)
As part of their ‘Beethoven Plus’ project, the acclaimed duo of Krysia Osostowicz and Daniel Tong return to the JdP with two concerts of Beethoven’s violin sonatas. This programme begins with one of the bold and brilliant Op. 12 sonatas, music of a confident young genius in full spate. It continues with the tender and whimsical sonata Op. 30 No. 1 followed by the flamboyantly virtuosic ‘Kreutzer’ before closing with the world premiere of Matthew Taylors short, whirlwind ‘Tarentella Furiosa’ written in response to the breakneck finale of the Kreutzer Sonata.
