Gypsy Fire’s virtuoso jazz violinist Ben Holder launches his brand new CD at a concert featuring his exciting quintet (Ben Holder – violin/vocals/keys, Jez Cook – guitars, Richard Exall – clarinet/alto, Paul Jefferies – double bass, Charlie Stratford, drums). Ben’s playing has been described as a cross between Grappelli and Vengerov – a true merging of jazz and classical styles – and he demonstrates all this beautifully in his new recording, which comprises six original compositions as well as superb arrangements of great standards.
