After a memorable performance in our last season, Bernard d’Ascoli returns to the JdP with a programme of refined and powerful works from the heart of the Romantic piano repertoire. Music by Fauré and Chopin, speaking the subtle language of the Parisian salons where both composers worked, is contrasted with two sets of pieces written in Vienna by Brahms and Schubert.
