This bunch of Leeds and Manchester based musicians are heavily influenced by the 1970s era New York cultural melting pot where soul, funk and jazz combined with the Hispanic influences of South America’s salsa, mambo and Latin-jazz. The result being an irresistible fusion of Latin-funk, boogaloo and “el barrio” beats, Spanish Harlem style!

Formed over a decade ago by conga player Sam Bell, the band has recently regenerated itself with some super-talented young blood from the northern soul scene. The nine-piece powerhouse play boogalo in their own style, heavily influenced by luminaries such as Ray Barretto, Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri and Mango Santamaria.
