Event Navigation
A light and sound installation by Alex Bradley with OCM, with storytelling and acoustic music by Steph West and Jess Hall. Pop Up bar and food.
Cogges After Dark is part of the national ‘Museums at Night’ festival with Culture 24. Picnic in the orchard as dusk falls, and experience ‘Field Test’, a solar-powered light and sound installation by Alex Bradley, as it flickers into life as darkness falls.
Steph West: A harper, singer and composer, Steph has a love of dancing rhythms, vivid chords and a free flowing melody. She performs with a delicate soulfulness and a dusky, pure voice for stories and scenes. With songs ranging from the traditional to the contemporary, Steph is fascinated by a strong story, a good question and an awkward answer.
Jess Hall: Jess Hall grew up near the coastline of North Devon and started writing songs about the quirks of love and life just before moving to the starkly landlocked Oxford five years ago. Since that time she has established herself on the local scene with her simple stunning clarity of voice and images of coastal love and loss.
Alex Bradley creates collaborative and solo interdisciplinary works that seek an exchange between artist and audience, questioning their relationship, meaning, and politics. Alex creates works that challenge and blur the boundaries of live and digital art. He has toured work from London’s South Bank to ISEA Japan, RADAR Mexico City, FILE Sao Paulo with residencies in Sydney, Melbourne and Mexico. He has been commissioned by UK galleries and festivals including Arnolfini, Baltic Gallery and Manchester Festival and receives ongoing support from Arts Council England and industry partners, most notably Arup Acoustics NYC.
