Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra: The UK ambassador for the Afrobeat sound. Dele Sosimi played rhythm keyboard for seven years in the ’80s for the Afrobeat founder and political activist – the Nigerian legend, Fela Kuti. Afrobeat is a fusionary genre that takes in West African highlife with funk and jazz to produce a richly polyrhythmic music.

WARA: Wara express the Latin American experience of living here in the UK today with a sound that takes in Cuban salsa, timba and Latin-funk with UK soul, hip hop and reggae. They create pioneering grooves with lyrics that are socially conscious and full of humour.

Dunajska Kapelye Duo: The Dunajska Kapelye duo (The Danube Band) combine Polish virtuoso violinist Piotr Jordan and Oxford music graduate, the multi-instrumentalist Zac Gvirtzman on accordion. They take influence from the folk traditions of Romania, former Yugoslavia, deepest Russia, the Ottoman empire, the Jewish shtetl and Django Reinhardt’s Belgium.
