Duotone is the alias of songwriter Barney Morse-Brown, cellist with multiplatinum artist Birdy, BBC Folk Award winners the Imagined Village, Chris Wood, Eliza Carthy & Jackie Oates.
Single-handedly disproving the myth that ‘men can’t multi-task’, his mesmerising solo performances of multi instrumental live looping move seamlessly between riotous energy and heartfelt intimacy. Duotone is proud to be returning to the North Wall to launch his new LP Let’s Get Low.
Written at home on his narrowboat, Let’s Get Low reveals a songwriter who is unafraid to explore real-life experiences that are often hidden from view. His debut album Work Harder & One Day You’ll Find Her (2009) and critically acclaimed second LP Ropes (2011) saw Duotone navigating his way through the loss of his wife. Let’s Get Low, two years in the making, presents a new perspective on his experiences and explores the meaning of home and his sense of place.
