Fleur Stevenson is one of the new breed of jazz singers who have trained formally as instrumental musicians before taking the leap of musical faith to become vocalists. Whilst studying jazz trumpet and composition, Fleur began singing at small clubs and bars only to find she adored the sense of freedom that singing can bring. She worked under the tutelage of the great Claire Martin and the collaboration has produced a very fine performer with musical intellect and great skill as an improviser.
