Event Navigation
Huck and The Xander Band will be launching their debut EP, ‘Alexander The Great – Act 1′, with support in the form of cosmic drone pop from Flights Of Helios and a solo acoustic show from Swansea-based French folk musician Boris Paillard, aka The Keys.
Humphrey ‘Huck’ Astley cut his teeth with notorious noise‐rock quintet Sextodecimo before fronting Huck & The Handsome Fee, whose ramshackle six-week tour of the US would inspire their singer‐songwriter’s most ambitious work. Since then, his involvements with The Epstein, Tamara & the Martyrs and Windom Earle have honed his talent for collaboration. Now, with the creation of his forthcoming concept album and stage show Alexander the Great, his skills as a poet and storyteller have come to the fore. Huck will be joined by the newly assembled Xander Band, which consists of Oxford veterans Tom Sharp (bass), Tommy Longfellow (drums) and Jamie Cooper (guitar).
