Hugh Turner has really earned his reputation as one of the finest funk-edged jazz guitarists around at the moment – a player with a distinctive, gritty style and an innate sense of jazz vocabulary. Paul Jefferies, a bassist with an utterly lyrical sense of fun, and Bristol-based drummer Matt Jones complete this talented trio. They’ll be accenting on the word acoustic – using their instruments to create a sense of dynamics rather than sheer volume.
