Ian Pace, a pianist renowned for his uncompromising commitment to musical modernism, leads us in a weekend-long exploration of Michael Finnissy’s History of Photography in Sound. The composer will be discussing his work on Saturday afternoon, followed on Sunday by a performance in three instalments of this richly complex, kaleidoscopic, and allusive piece. These concerts mark the launch of Pace’s latest recording of this five-and-a-half-hour epic.
