Mark Pidgeon is the founder of the Wychwood Folk Club and finally gets a slot in his own club. He’s an Oxfordshire-based singer-songwriter whose thought-provoking songs have made people sit up and take notice wherever he has played. He draws from his own life experiences and from what is happening in the world around him, and puts his thoughts into his own style, which has its roots in Americana and Modern Folk music. Similar in style to the likes of Steve Knightly, Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen and Martyn Joseph, Mark is not afraid to put his thoughts down in song. He is just as happy doing his own material or rousing covers.
