Martyn Speake is seen by many as the foremost contemporary alto saxophonist in the business. He has worked with the likes of Bobo Stenson and Paul Motian, was one of the founding members of the groundbreaking sax quartet Itchy Fingers in the 80s and his playing career continues to evolve, drawing critical acclaim in the process.

For this project, Martin is joined by American drummer Jeff Williams who is described in All About Jazz as that rare creature, the drummer who “understands and conceptualizes time as something beyond the standard ‘spang-a-lang’ status quo”. On guitar is the equally magnificent Mike Outram, one of Britain’s most accomplished guitar players.

Expect an amazing journey through meditative ballads, trance-like grooves, free improvisation, minimalism, jazz standards, Arabic influenced music and more from this unique and intimate trio.
