Nigel is one of the finest jazz guitarists in the country – it’s fair to say that he is also one of the most exciting players players around with his hard driving style and mesmerizing technique.

Nigel came to prominence as the guitarist with the James Taylor Quartet and since that time, his reputation gone from strength to strength. He appears regularly at Ronnie Scotts (our informer at the club tells us he played there over 150 times!) and at festival and clubs all over the UK. In the last few years, Nigel has put together his own organ trio featuring Matt Home on drums and Pete Whittaker on Hammond, and this group has begun to attract the plaudits from those in the know – the group won ‘Best Jazz Ensemble’ in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2010.
