The Industry Talks is an essential series of events for young people and students seeking a career in the music industry. This is your chance to hear inspirational stories from guest speakers, and pick up tips to help you find your path in the music industry. OCM and Oxford and Cherwell Valley College have teamed up to deliver this exciting series of events in the hope that you will be able to learn from those who have done it before and carve a path for yourself.
The first event is called Finding Your Path In The Music Industry and on the night you will hear from:
- Zahra Tehrani, who is the founder of BG Records, an independent community-based record label.
- Sarah Sayeed, who will talk about the importance of staying true to who you are with your music.
- Alexander Campkin, will share his story of being a freelance composer and conductor.
- Paul Carter, who is a music producer that has worked with Moby, Girls Aloud, David Bowie and Aswad. Paul will be telling the story of how he got started.
If you are a young person that does not attend Oxford and Cherwell Valley College but would like to attend, please email jordon@ocmevents.org to reserve yourself a place.
