Overlord play a fresh, modern take on the dark, progressive rock/early metal bands of the 1970s, informed as much by modern thrash/groove metal as they are by traditional blues. Through these myriad influences, the band intends to create music that can be enjoyed and appreciated by any fan of heavy music – they also have a very healthy respect for early Sabbath.
Black Juju are a greasy, sleazy furball of garage rock from Aylesbury, promising “noise, chaos and energy” in a Stooges-meets-Cramps style. A stripped out psychedelic speedball of noise and fury that fuses resolutely raw and dirty grunge with classic blues sounds.
The Whisky Singers are a sextet built around fictional Francis Pugh (so, perhaps they’re really a septet?), playing warm yet intricate Americana, folk and country, with a cheeky glint in its eye.
