A founder member of Oxford Improvisers, Pat Thomas is one of the most original and respected figures on the international improvised music scene. What stands out in Pat’s playing, whether on piano or electronics, is not just his prodigious technique, but the composer’s grasp of form combined with the improviser’s openness to the moment. He was recently a recipient of the Paul Hamlyn Award for compostion. In this rare Oxford appearance, Pat plays solo and with members of Oxford Improvisers.
