Folk rock pioneers, pop stars and an inspiration to generations. Steeleye Span has been many things. After two successful tours in 2011 and a few festivals in 2012 Steeleye are sticking as a six-piece for their 2013 tour, with Maddy Prior, the voice of Steeleye for 38 years at the helm of the line-up which features band stalwart and fiddler extraordinaire Peter Knight, Rick Kemp on bass, Peter Zorn and Julian Littman on Guitars and Liam Genockey on the drum stool.

This show promises to be a little extra special with fans able to get a taste of some new songs Steeleye have been working on based on Terry Pratchett’s Wintersmith novel, along with the familiar classics and gems that have made them one of the most successful British folk rock bands ever.

With support from Jacqui Mcshee’s Take3 – the voice of Pentangle, one of the most original, innovative and influential folk bands to come out of the 1960s. Jacqui’s support slot will see her return to her acoustic roots as well as showcasing some of Pentangle’s solid gold repertoire.
