Koan Sound are Bristolian duo Jim Bastow and Will Weeks, now signed to the label of electronic powerhouse Skrillex OWSLA, named after the elite rabbit army in Watership Down. After becoming recognised in the growing Glitch Pop scene in Bristol, the duo looked to Rusko, Aphex Twin, Skrillex, and Pendulum as mentors. 2011’s ‘Max Out’ EP saw them move away from their 140bpm template and brought about a remix for chart smasher Ed Sheeran. The ‘Funk Blaster’ EP then went on to reach the number 1 spot in the Beatport release category. Playing across Europe and North America, the boys have supported Skrillex alongside Diplo on the Full Flex Express Tour last year.
