Tellison are a four-piece from London who write stunning songs about love, loss, regret, literature, and fancying your dentist. Formed out of a shared love of unsuccessful indie rock bands of the late 90s and early 00s Tellison have, to date, released two critically acclaimed albums (2007’s Contact! Contact! and 2011’s The Wages of Fear) and a clutch of sold-out, occasionally charting, singles. Their third record is coming out on Alcopop! in the near future.
Bad Ideas are four dudes from Lincoln. Having grown up on a diet of Chicago-based punk rock bands and then been romanced by the rootsy, old school revival of folk and country vibes creeping into punk rock music, Bad Ideas has a sound that uniquely sits between the gaps of punk, indie and folk.
Cassels combine massive slabs of grunge riffing with a punk aesthetic and socially-charged lyrics, which chime strongly with the mood of the young generation… expressing themes of isolation, boredom and disillusionment.
