During the 1990s The Hoax toured, building a strong loyal following, throughout the UK, Europe and USA. This was a band that excited audiences as they played the blues with passion, high-octane performances and musicianship of the highest calibre as they collectively melded into a distinctive sound. They are an awesome live act that delivered great studio recordings, among them the 1998 release Humdinger – then a year later they disbanded. This left everyone wanting more as the band members Hugh Coltman, Jesse Davey, Robin Davey, Jon Amor and Mark Barrett pursued their own projects. The band re-formed briefly during 2010 and 2011, touring Britain and Europe, then all too soon they left the stage – until now.
