A favourite at The Spin club and one of the finest saxophonists in contemporary jazz. Tim Whitehead first came to everyone’s attention playing with Ian Carr’s Nucleus and from there he went on to be a central figure on the British jazz scene, playing with Loose Tubes, Jim Mullen and many more.

In the recent past, he has led a series of great quartets and released some breathtaking albums. In 2009, he became the first musician to become Artist in Residence at Tate Britain; an award that recognises his creativity and passion for music.
