Tom Allan is, as they say, ‘the finished product’… a superbly accomplished trumpeter and all round musician.

His A-list status comes from a decade of work with the legendary Afrobeat star Dele Sosimi as well as gigs with the even more legendary Tony Allen, Fela Kuti’s drummer and the man who created the Afrobeat style. Tom, however, is much more than an Afrobeat specialist, his intensely lyrical, but angular trumpet playing also points to the likes of Kenny Wheeler and Woody Shaw. Beyond jazz, Tom also plays in the Bollywood Brass Band.
