BBC Folk Musician of the year 2009, Tom McConville, is a unique fiddle player in the UK, blending traditional sounds from his home town of Newcastle with Irish, American and Scottish influences. Playing with David Newey on guitar since 2008, the duo have a lively, melodic sound and each performance is warm and uplifting.
