Traps: Traps are a rocky-punky-souly band, by their own admission. They can kick out the rock’n’roll whilst still offering a pretty tidy tune, and they have been likened to a cross between Placebo and Skunk Anansie.
Grant Sharkey: Grant is a good friend of GTI, having played with his Zappafied smutfunk outfit Toupe to great acclaim. Now he’s somewhat implausibly touring the country with a double bass, singing songs that alternate between touching and hilarious, and maybe arsing about just a little bit.
Rag Doll: Any friend fo Klub Kakofanney and Wittstock is a friend of ours, but that’s not the reason we booked this lovely, relaxed folk act, we just rather liked the songs. Expect breezy, but sophisticated semi-acoustic melodies of the sort that might prick up Joe Boyd’s dainty ears, and it’s not a billion million miles away from something Eddi Reader might produce if she were in a particularly cuddly mood.
