X-1: Loud, abstract and totally fantastic, if you like your hardcore twisted, oddly shaped and strangely beautiful. This is a rare outing for the band, who used to be all over the place about a decade ago. Now they’re older, wiser, and wider, but definitely not quieter.

Partly Faithful: They sound a little like Joy Division crossed with Bauhaus, and some very reliable people have had this to say: “Fey sneer against guitar patterns that fire shards of icy riffs against a feral rhythm [that] brings to mind early PIL” – Terrorizer; “Angry, at a time when more angry bands are desperately needed” – Artrocker.
